Beauty Advisory
Many promising beauty brands reach the point where what made them successful is not enough for the next stage.
For established beauty and personal-care brands with a proven product, real sales and the budget to invest in growth.
What I see happening in beauty
Structured growth requires harder commercial choices
I am a beauty consumer, and I spent years building beauty and personal-care brands inside Unilever, including leading the repositioning of a global beauty brand.
Nigeria's beauty and personal-care market is estimated at $1.22 billion in 2026 and projected to grow at 9.3% a year through 2032. Skin care is already the largest segment, at roughly 30% of the market.¹
- $1.22Bestimated market, 2026
- 9.3%projected growth a year to 2032
- ~30%skin care, the largest segment
That growth is creating opportunity, but it is also creating a more demanding market. Consumers have more products, more information and more choice. Digital channels are reshaping how beauty products are discovered and bought, but visibility alone does not guarantee repeat purchase. Product performance, pricing and consumer trust still matter.
The product may be good. The founder may have built a loyal following. Demand may already exist. But the next stage asks harder questions:
- Which products should lead growth, rather than giving every SKU equal attention
- Who the priority consumer and shopper really are, and what problem the brand should own for them
- What the right price and pack architecture is, so there is enough margin for the brand and its channel partners
- Which channels deserve investment, and what will make the product sell through and reorder once it gets there
- How marketing converts into demand beyond social media, particularly as the brand enters retail
- How the business grows beyond the founder, with clearer commercial priorities and systems
I bring the commercial discipline of structured consumer goods businesses to a small number of beauty brands, so a good brand can keep what makes it special and make the decisions its next stage requires.

Relevant experience
At Unilever, I led the repositioning of beauty and personal-care brands. That included 600 basis points of share growth on a €20M global beauty brand, with line extensions contributing a further 5% share gain.
I also repositioned Lux from a toilet soap to a beauty brand in eight months.
Around that, I bring experience across sales, customer and channel development, trade and shopper marketing, innovation, commercial planning and P&L.
Career achievements from employed roles, not client case studies. The hour suits brands that are already trading. It isn't for pre-revenue brands, or for social media, advertising or content work.
